Chris possesses over 33 years experience in the Financial Services business sector and is a nationally respected entrepreneur.
In 2002 he co-founded United Benefit Advisors (now the 2nd largest employee benefit advisory organization in the United States). Today, (after selling UBA to its Member Firms in 2009) he uses that experience to implement sustainable solutions to major problems faced by business and non-profits (most notably Boy Scouts of America). Below are the three projects he is the most excited about. Chris is more convinced than ever that we can (and must) use entrepreneurial and value innovation principals to change the world for the better.
1. Arresting Health Insurance Costs Increases: How do we enable employers to reverse and contain their health insurance costs while increasing employee engagement and productivity? Answer: Through data analytics and predictive modeling.
2. Leadership Development: Leadership is the key to creating great organizations, but how does one teach Leadership quickly and effectively? Answer: By distilling and adapting best practices developed by West Point over the past 200+ years to the non-military world.
3. Predictable Funding for Boy Scouts: How can we make sure that Boy Scout Councils, Packs, Troops and Crews have enough predictable funding, so they can spend 90% of their energy on programming and unit support that will “prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law”? Answer: Chris is piloting a concept called Buy Local with the Boy Scouts (BLBS). BLBS provides predictable funding by providing supportive businesses cost effective targeted advertising via email and SMS (an Opt-In, permission based system), based on the Scout Oath and Law.
